Sixt commences operations in Angola and Mozambique
Pullach, 16 September 2009 – Sixt AG, international provider of high-quality mobility solutions, is continuing to drive international expansion and is increasing its presence in Southern Africa. Customers in Angola and Mozambique are now also able to benefit from Sixt’s tailored and low cost service range.
In Angola, Sixt is the only international rental car provider represented in the terminal of Luanda airport, while in Mozambique, Sixt is already operating seven rental stations nationwide. The number of Sixt stations in both countries is likely to increase in the medium-term. Sixt's vehicle fleet has been adapted to the specific geographical and infrastructural requirements of the region and primarily encompasses four-wheel drive vehicles.
Aside from the traditional car rental business, Sixt offers its customers additional services. Sixt provides private customers in Angola and Mozambique with holiday rental cars at favourable terms and conditions. Rental vehicles with local drivers who know their way around and cost cutting models for long-term car rental are particularly interesting for companies and business travellers. The first renowned major international companies have already opted for Sixt as their regional mobility partner.
